Located in Campinas, Viracopos Airport (VCP) is approximately 100 kilometres / 62 miles northwest of São Paulo.

When you arrive at Viracopos Airport, there are a few transport options available whether you want to get to central São Paulo or you’re in transit to Congonhas Airport.
By bus (ônibus)
If you travel with Azul, the airline company offers a free bus service that runs between Viracopos Airport and Congonhas, Barra Funda Terminal, Eldorado, and Tamboré Shopping Malls. To ride on the bus for free, show your receipt printed or on a mobile device. For timetables, check here.
There are also buses operated by VB Transportes that run between Campinas – Viracopos and Tietê Terminal (or Bus Station). From here, you can take the subway/metrô to reach other parts of the city. The fare costs around R$ 24 one way. Expect the journey to take about 1h40.
By taxi
Taking a taxi is another option to and from Viracopos Airport. Taxis line up outside the arrivals hall. A ride to the city centre costs between R$ 220 and R$ 250.
By Uber
You can take an Uber in São Paulo. You need a smartphone to access the Uber app. Depending on your destination, there’s a chance an Uber ride may cost less than a cab ride.
By car
Several car rental companies can be found on the ground floor of the Garage Building, namely Avis, Hertz, Localiza, Maggi, Movida, and Unidas.
