Heydar Aliyev Airport (GYD) is located about 25 kilometres / 16 miles northeast of downtown Baku, and it’s the gateway airport to Azerbaijan.
The airport serves regularly scheduled flights to several European cities such as Moscow, Budapest, Riga, and Istanbul.
It’s also the main hub for Azerbaijan Airlines.
